Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Annihilageddon Deck-Edifice Game is definitely the longest title of a game I take ever written a review for! Slaughter your wizard opponents once again and over again and again to gain the Annihilageddon trophy while the game thrashes back with commotion.

Annihilageddon is the start Epic Spell Wars deck-building game. You should expect the same level of mature humor found in the other standalone games in its globe.

It is besides compatible with other Cerberus Engine games such as DC Comics Deck-Building Game, Cartoon Network Crossover Crunch Deck-Building Game and Rick and Morty: Shut Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Deck-Building Game. Only to name a few. There are several more than.

Annihilageddon follows the Cerberus Engine for deck-builders, which has been around a while. I won?t go through all the ins and outs in this review.

If you aren?t familiar with the engine here is a summary:

Players start with the same starting deck. So, generate ability from these cards to purchase cards from the line-up to add to their deck. Calculation these cards to their deck volition eventually create more power and powerful combinations.

What makes Annihilageddon dissimilar from the other deck-builders is that you lot volition have a wizard just like the ones in Epic Spell Wars that marking your hit points. You starting time with 20 striking points and receive an ability token to go with your wizard. These are like the other deck-building games merely they are just not listed on the specific magician cards.

Along with the above, y'all receive a Familiar. This is a card that only you lot can purchase on your plow. It remains under your wizard carte du jour until you generate plenty power to purchase.

Equally a player, you use attack cards to deal damage to your foes. If you get to zero hit points, you receive a expressionless wizard token and the opponent that took y'all out gains the standee. And then y'all reset back to 20 hit points and continue playing.

Usually, the dead wizard tokens are not pleasant. Withal, sometimes, they can rebound to the opponent that dealt you impairment! There are likewise means to put the tokens back to the pool and cards that give bonuses at the end of the game for having them!

This is a deck-builder. You can look a lot of cards. They are the same, dandy quality that you would expect from other Cryptozoic deck-builders.

The game as well contains ii standees and different tokens that are tough cardboard.

The final two standalones of Ballsy Spell Wars introduced RS Bixby as the artist. They brought him on for this one and the art is fantastic. The art perfectly illustrates the card names.

You should wait the same ?epic? silliness with the artwork as from the other standalones. I have only played the first two Epic Spell Wars so I cannot annotate on the nigh recent two, merely they take definitely taken the graphics upwards a notch from the first two.

This game was just what we needed when we played. It came with the seriousness of deck-building but with the added fun of laughter, you normally get from any Epic Spell Wars game. It is good for the soul to just have a good time and laugh.

The historic period proffer is 15+. As far equally mechanics go, this is fine. Just beware that the content is VERY mature. There is profanity, sexual content, etc. All of this is in text and graphics. If this bothers you in whatever fashion, this ane is not for you lot.

I mentioned before I had only played the first two Ballsy Spell Wars. Information technology has been a while since I have played those but I do not remember them beingness as mature in nature every bit this one. They may have ramped them up in the concluding ii.

All of that said, as an adult, I enjoyed Annihilageddon completely. This is simply non meant for children at all.

This is a complete, solid game. So much inventiveness and thought went into this. It perfectly combines the Cerberus Engine into the Epic Spell Wars universe. They executed and streamlined this version well.

My only complaint is that information technology has a pocket-size amount of political content. From a personal standpoint, I would rather not accept this in a game. I just don?t find humor in it regardless of what my political stance is. If this bothers you, beware. However, this would not deter me from playing it again. I had a lot of fun with it. I most think I prefer this one over DC.

They say information technology is compatible with the other deck-builders. However, given the mechanics of the attacks, I think merging these all together will be a recipe for utter chaos! But, hey, who am I to disrupt chaos?! I would be willing to endeavor it at least once. I but don?t run across it existence well counterbalanced.

If you are a fan of the Cerberus Engine deck-builders and the Epic Spell Wars universe, this is a must-have. Information technology will non disappoint y'all.
